Schukran! Danke, Hamas!

www.nytimes.com/2016/09/14/world/middleeast/israel-benjamin-netanyahu-military-aid.html?src=meJERUSALEM — The United States has finalized a $38 billion package of military aid for Israel over the next 10 years, the largest of its kind ever, and the two allies plan to sign the agreement on Wednesday, American and Israeli officials said. The State Department scheduled a ceremony to formally announce the pact, which will be signed by Jacob Nagel, the acting national security adviser to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel, and Thomas A. Shannon Jr., the under secretary of state for political affairs. Susan E. Rice, President Obama’s national security adviser who handled negotiations, plans to be on hand. The package represents a major commitment to Israel’s security in the waning months of Mr. Obama’s presidency after years of fractious relations with Mr. Netanyahu over issues like the Iran nuclear agreement. Mr. Netanyahu agreed to several concessions to cement the deal rather than gamble on winning better terms from the next president. The package will provide an average of $3.8 billion a year over the next decade to Israel, already the largest recipient of American aid, including financing for missile defense systems that defend against rockets fired by groups like Hezbollah and Hamas. Under a previous 10-year agreement that expires in 2018, the United States provides about $3 billion a year, but lately Congress has added up to $500 million a year for missile defense. _________ schnell einfädeln, bevot Trump kommt? Das fände ich außerordentlich begrüßenswert. Da sind einem die mutigen israelischen Parlamentarier ja richtig sympathisch.

Trump Demands Obama Veto UN Security Council Resolution on Israeli Settlements www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/12/22/trump-demands-u-s-veto-un-security-council/President-elect Donald J. Trump demanded that President Barack Obama veto a UN Security Council resolution to be voted on Thursday that would declare Israeli settlements across the 1949 armistice line — i.e. in the West Bank — to be illegal. The Obama administration has hinted that it would not veto a resolution authored by the Palestinians and brought to the Security Council by Egypt, which currently holds a rotating seat. As Breitbart News reported last week, several other countries were also considering various resolutions aimed at declaring Israeli settlements illegal. These resolutions would isolate Israel, embolden the Palestinians, and legitimize the anti-Israel boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) movement. ---- israel hat Trump voll im Griff.

www.breitbart.com/jerusalem/2016/12/22/egypt-delays-anti-israel-resolution-trump-denouncement/The Jerusalem Post reports: A day filled with diplomatic drama ended Thursday evening, when Egypt withdrew an anti-settlement resolution it intended to submit to the UN Security Council just over an hour after President-elect Donald Trump came out squarely against it. “The resolution being considered at the United Nations Security Council regarding Israel should be vetoed,” Trump said in a statement. “As the United States has long maintained, peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians will only come through direct negotiations between the parties, and not through the imposition of terms by the United Nations. This puts Israel in a very poor negotiating position, and is extremely unfair to all Israelis.” Read the full story here.

U.S. Rebuffs Israel, Allowing Censure Over Settlements By SOMINI SENGUPTA and RICK GLADSTONE The Obama administration allowed the United Nations Security Council to adopt a resolution that condemns Israeli settlement construction. The decision not to veto broke an American tradition of serving as Israel’s diplomatic shield, and defied pressure by President-elect Donald J. Die Resolution des UN-Sicherheitsrat hat Israel dazu aufgerufen, den Bau von Siedlungen auf besetzten und geraubten Land der Palästinenser, einschliesslich in Ost-Jerusalem, zu beenden, denn diese seien illegal. alles-schallundrauch.blogspot.com/2016/12/israel-erklart-neuseeland-den-krieg.htmlniemand mag israel. woran das wohl liegt? an den juden darf es bekanntlich nicht liegen
